BUSINESS IDEA | CASH FLOW BUSINESS
The Founder Olympics 🥇
Founders first
Available Domain: Founderolympics.com
💡 TLDR: An all star hackathon where hugely successful founders work to launch a business over a weekend
1. Problem/Opportunity❓
The Problem/Opportunity: The olympics are coming to Paris this summer. Which means I get to spend a summer getting really into niche sports and feeling awful about my athletic abilities. But even that athletes can feel that way too.
Which raises a question. What is the equivalent of the olympics in tech? Well we think we have it.
Market Size: Honestly…no clue.
2. Solution ✅
The Idea: An all star hackathon where hugely successful founders work to launch a business over a weekend
How it Works:
You approach massively successful entrepreneurs to participate in the hackathon
They are split into small teams and are given 1 weekend to come up with a business idea and launch it
Whoever makes the most money wins the event
Go-to-market: All of these guys are on twitter. You’ll have to grind to get one big name involved, but once you do more will roll in
Business Model: Live stream the event and get it sponsored
Startup Costs: If you pre-sell sponsorships to this you can get sponsors to front-run your cash requirements for this. Work smarter not harder.
3. How You’ll Get Rich 💰
Hold: For the network alone you would hang on to this business

Well our weather betting app changes that.
JUST THE TIP
Trend 📈: The Scary Data on Teen Depression
Am unfortunate fact about about the world right now is that rates of depression amongst teens is on the rise. They have skyrocketed since 2010, so clearly social media has a role to play here. This is a truly horrifying graph and we need to come together to build out solutions to this problem.
THE MONEYSHOT
The Ex-Disney Star Running a Space Company
Britney Spears. Miley Cyrus. Demi Lovato.
From substance abuse to mental health challenges, many former Disney child stars have had tough times in their later years.
But what if I told you a former Disney star was currently the CEO of a space company?
Well Bridgit Mendler is.
Bridgit, best known for her roles in Good Luck Charlie and Wizards of Waverley Place, decided to buck the child star trend and went to college. A lot of them. She studied at USC, completed a Masters in MIT and for good measure completed a law degree at Harvard.
Her LinkedIn is more stacked than my plate at a buffet.
During her years of study Bridgit developed a fascination with space. This led her to spot an opportunity in the industry.
Bridgit noticed that the actual process of sending and receiving data to and from specific satellites remains difficult, since most of the technology used is from the 60s and 70s.
So in 2023 she cofounded Northwood Space with her husband Griffin Cleverly, as well as head of software Shaurya Luthra. The company is building a network of ground stations to help revolutionize communications between earth and satellites, similar to what Starlink is doing just on the ground.
And it’s going pretty well so far.
The company raised $6 million in initial funding raised from some of the biggest investors in the game, including Founders Fund, Andreessen Horowitz and Also Capital.
Good luck Charlie Bridgit.
