Historical Figures Podcast 📜
You can’t spell podcast without past
Available Domain: timelessconversation.com
💡 TLDR: A podcast where famous people interview historical figures from the past in AI form who are trained on their writings
1. Problem/Opportunity❓
The Opportunity: People love history. They read books about it, go to museums and we all recently learned that us men think about the Roman Empire A LOT.
Bringing history to life has always been problematic (since it’s literally about dead stuff) but with the wonders of technology there’s never been a better time to really bring history to life.
Market Size: The global podcasting market size is around $19bn annually, and is estimated to expand at a compound annual growth rate of 27.6% going forward.
2. Solution ✅
The Idea: Create a podcast where famous people interview historical figures from the past in AI form
How it Works:
You start by creating historically accurate AI avatars of historical figures. The basis of this is a LLM trained on their writings and writings about them.
A voice model is trained to mimic the historical figures voice and then they can be interviewed as if they were with us today. You could then invite famous people to interview historical figures who they admire the most, like asking Neil deGrasse Tyson to interview Einstein.
Once you’ve finished recording you could open the avatar to the public for anyone to converse with these legendary people.
Go-to-market: Start by researching influencers and what historical figure they want to interview, create that avatar using character.ai, and reach out to them to do the interview.
Monetisation: Sell ads on the podcast and charge monthly for the SaaS product
Estimated Startup Costs: A few thousand dollars to get the tech working and the podcasting equipment
3. How You’ll Get Rich 💰
Exit Strategy: Sell to either a large podcast network, like Wondery, or hold out and sell to a media business like A+E Networks
Exit Multiple: If you hold out and become a SaaS business, multiples are sitting at around 5.9x revenue currently

JUST THE TIP
Trend 📈: Looksmaxxing is the new trend among young men
Looksmaxxing, the process of trying to maximise one’s physical attractiveness, is the latest big thing among young men. And the Google Trends data on searches for looksmaxxing shows a clear trend:
But more broadly looksmaxxing is the most recent incarnation of self development for young men. In fact it appears to be filling a vacuum being left by the decline of the so-called “nofap” movement, the previous dogma in the young men’s self-improvement space.
THE MONEYSHOT
$0 → $20m in 2 Years Selling Coffee Waste
Almost 15 years ago, Australian best friends Jess Hatzis and Bree Johnson quit their marketing jobs to start their own marketing agency.
While running their marketing agency they met Steve Rowley, a coffee shop owner (and later their cofounder), who came to them with an interesting insight. He had multiple customers coming in asking for leftover coffee grounds to use as a natural exfoliate.
Frank Body was born.
In 2013, with ~$5K to start, the founding group had to generate as much attention as possible, for virtually $0. This is how they did it.
They pioneered the use of a “brand a character”. None of their social copy uses “we”, or “us”. It’s all “me”, and “I”. It’s as if “Frank” is talking to you 1-on-1. They also leaned into influencer marketing and UGC years before other brands caught on.
And their strategy worked wonders. The brand grew to $20M in revenue in just two years.
An amazing story from an amazing team!
